Assertiveness refers to a specific style of communication that balances the wants, needs, and respect for the self with those of others and is one of the most common goals I see in personal development work.

This Focus workshop breaks down assertiveness across multiple conceptual levels, including sections related to the core emotions involved in assertiveness and strategies for regulating them, bias identification and thought exercises that can support a more assertive mindset, examples of specific types of assertive communication, as well as a detailed section on different types of boundaries and ways to enforce them.
